This workshop started out with the foundation of two basic Pilates principles of Lateral Breathing and Neutral Spine. Then we carried forward the flexibility sequences from a basic flow into intermediate modifications which also included more dynamic stretching. These were integrated with relevant mobility exercises for spine, hips, ankles as well as shoulders.
Second half of the workshop was focussed on correct execution of Plyometric exercises starting from basics such as Jumping Jacks, Jump rope to Jump Squats, Jumping Lunges, Power Squats with dynamic pulses etc. Advanced students were shown variations for Jump ropes.
All exercises were derived from Calisthenics and Athletic CORE conditioning programme from STOTT Pilates.
